Summary:
Primary functions are to maintain system interfaces, provide program and data updating, and problem resolution assistance for the Yield Accounting Department in such areas of the Microsoft Dynamics AX (companywide enterprise management) system refinery historian digital control data collection system, and the yield accounting (inventory/yield/movements) system.
Other duties also include but are not limited to weekly and monthly reporting for month end production accounting entries, inventory count correcting entries, inventory discrepancy analysis, information requests for historical data, and job coverage assistance for the Yield Accounting employees.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
Maintain yield accounting computer program with edits and enhancements to keep up with the changes that occur within the Refinery Operations and CountryMark supply/distribution system.
Maintain all interfaces that communicate data between the companywide enterprise management system, the refinery historian data collection system, and yield accounting system.
Weekly and month end reporting for certain manually entered product movement accounting entries and count journals for various petroleum storage locations and product reclassifications.
Weekly inventory accounting analysis for petroleum products.
Create and maintain reports to extract information from database to meet numerous data analysis requests, to improve Yield Accounting work procedures, and to update databases such as Daily Barrels/Mass Yield Database.
Fill in for job coverage of Yield Accounting Supervisor and Yield Accounting personnel during vacations and absence.
Companywide enterprise management system Subject Matter Expert that provides user assistance and problem resolution on production accounting related issues.
Track and report finished gasoline and diesel blends used for EPA reporting.
Write job process instructions for Yield Accounting and related areas and train various departments on new procedures.
Support and assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly EIA reports.
Support and assist with the preparation of data required for annual gasoline attestation reports, and benzene and sulfur credits reports to EPA.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
Represent Yield Accounting in Morning Operations Meetings and Weekly Logistics Meetings.
Maintain ticket inventories at non-automated loading racks.
Provide copies of sales tickets to customers as requested and answer any billing calculation questions.
Complete various month end reports which compile the daily tank activity for asphalt, propane, feed stocks, and other products.
Track Inventories at our third-party terminals.
Entering receipts and transfer entries for product movements.
Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent):
Education:
Associate's Degree required.
Willing to substitute education requirements in lieu of job experience for ideal candidate.
Experience:
5 7 years experience in Banking, Accounting, Accounts Payable or related field.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations:
Yield accounting system (Sigmafine) basic training course will be provided on the job.
Other:
Detail oriented.
Be able to understand Refining Operations.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization and computer skills including ability to understand various computer programs.
Ability to learn quickly and produce results, sometimes under pressure due to impending deadlines.
Ability to function independently as well as lead in a team environment.
Strong analytical abilities, initiative and problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to changes in operations and a multi-location environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office platform.
Strong management skills; ability to train personnel and help develop staff.
Ability to interact with all levels within organization as well as with outside consultants.
Ability to speak effectively, both individually and before groups of both internal and external personnel.
Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed.
